Drywall and stud-wall frames
For framed partitions, confirm finished wall thickness, stud construction and when the frame will be installed. The frame profile and anchoring method should suit the partition system. Provide details for floor conditions, head construction and any sidelight or borrowed-light connections.
Masonry and concrete frames
Blockwork and concrete openings may require different profiles and anchors from drywall construction. State whether the opening is new or existing and provide structural dimensions. Clarify installation sequence, grout requirements where specified and how the frame interfaces with finished wall surfaces.
Profile, depth and throat dimensions
Show the frame face, stop, return and depth required by the project detail. Confirm the measurement convention used by the supplier. Wall finishes such as tile or wall protection may change the effective thickness at the opening and should be identified before drawings are approved.

Provide opening marks, structural sizes, wall type, finished thickness, frame profile, rating, finish and hardware sets. Add typical jamb and head details. Ask suppliers to identify assumptions about anchors, installation, glazing and items supplied by others.
