Buyers should compare the complete assembly, finish system and hardware scope rather than selecting a door only from a veneer sample.
Confirm the required fire performance
State the referenced standard, rating duration and label or documentation requirements. The proposed leaf, frame, seals, glazing and hardware should be reviewed as a compatible opening. Ask the supplier to identify the evidence available for the selected configuration.
Select the finish system
Define veneer species, laminate, paint, stain or other finish reference. Confirm grain direction, matching expectations, edge treatment and acceptable variation. Review samples under project lighting before approving repeated production.
Coordinate leaf, frame and wall
Provide opening dimensions, handing, wall type and finished thickness. State whether the project uses timber, metal or another approved frame configuration. Include architraves, shadow gaps and floor conditions on the details.
Plan seals, thresholds and acoustics
Where acoustic or smoke-control requirements apply, identify them separately from the fire rating. Coordinate perimeter seals, drop seals and thresholds with floor finishes, operating force and accessibility requirements.

Control repeated room types
Use a schedule that links every opening to a room or apartment type. Separate mirrored handing, accessible rooms, connecting doors and special hardware. Approve a coordinated sample or mock-up before releasing large repeated quantities.
Quotation and production documents
Send the schedule, elevations, finish references, ratings, hardware sets, quantities and destination. Review shop drawings for dimensions, hardware locations, labels and finish notes. Confirm packing marks and phased delivery by floor or room group.
