Hotels and apartment buildings contain many repeated openings, but a successful package still separates guest rooms, apartment entrances, corridors, stairs, service rooms and public areas. Each group can have different finish, fire, acoustic, security, hardware and maintenance requirements.
Organize the door schedule by room type
Use opening marks that connect the schedule to plans and room data. Record size, handing, wall type, frame, rating, finish and hardware set. Repeated units can share standard types, but exceptions such as accessible rooms, connecting rooms and service areas should remain visible.
Coordinate appearance across repeated openings
Specify veneer, laminate, paint or metal finish references and the required grain or pattern direction. Confirm door faces, edges, frames and exposed hardware together. Samples or mock-ups help the design team review color, texture, joints and hardware before full production.
Confirm fire and acoustic requirements
Identify rated openings and the referenced standard. State any acoustic target or perimeter-seal requirement separately. Fire and acoustic performance should be reviewed with the frame, seals, glazing, threshold and hardware rather than assigned only to the door leaf.

Review frames and wall interfaces
Provide finished wall thickness and construction for drywall, masonry or decorative wall systems. Coordinate frame profiles, architraves, shadow gaps or other details before shop drawings are approved.
Plan labeling and phased delivery
Hotel and apartment projects often receive doors by floor, tower or construction phase. Connect package labels to door marks and room numbers. Confirm how frames, hardware and accessories will be grouped, and provide the required delivery sequence before export packing begins.
